Our group of 12 was the first to arrive at the restaurant at 1130. I ordered an appetizer and main course. At 1240 I still hadn't received my main course. We finally received our bills at 1pm. The manager insisted that I pay for my appetizer even though I never received my main course. I gladly paid it knowing that they've lost 12 customers. Absolutely terrible service.
I have been to Saigon Pho several times, and in general I have been very pleased with it. The service may be a little slow during busy hours but it was not that bad (compared to Sherry's experience there). I have gone here with both large and small groups and every time I was impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The prices are also great.
I didn't know that this restaurant is here because it was an Indian restaurant before, I dropped in for lunch for the first time. Wow, it is a nice Vietnamese restaurant with very unique decor, clean and very comfortable atmosphere. for the food they don't just serve pho as the name Pho on their name, however they have a large selection of other stir fried items. I tried # 99 chicken pad thai, it was delicious and the price No complaint.
People have different tastes and point of view, that is why each restaurant has either high and low rated. For me Saigon Pho has every thing make me happy from the food to service, I go there for lunch and dinner almost every week.
The following is a notable review of this restaurant, which a few hours ago served my family rotting luncheon and sandwich meat, took it back immediately, but then told me when the check came (and I politely noticed the additional Pho bowl) they had a "NO RETURN POLICY" (I paid what they wanted me to pay and got the heck out of there.) Here is what appears to be Pho Saigon's own response to shocked customers like me:
"People have different tastes and point of view, that is why each restaurant has either high and low rated. For me Saigon Pho has every thing make me happy from the food to service, I go there for lunch and dinner almost every week."
I say: no matter what you post on your own review sites, the reason your restaurant is awful is because you are awful. People are nice. Treat them nice. Do not feed them trash. If you should by accident feed (actual) trash to a customer, and he returns it, refund his money for the trash. You took a family dinner and made it a disaster, and refused even to refund ONE dish you happily, shamefully, immediately, took back. Shame on you. Disgusting food, disgusting people.
